Details:

We have worked with a volunteer group in the Tampa Bay area to establish the Friends of Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves (FTBAP), Citizen Support Organization (CSO). This event will be an official signing ceremony for the agreement between the FTBAP and the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection (ORCP).

We have zeroed in on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. for a CSO signing "ceremony" to be held at Boca Ciega Millennium Park on the overlook with the Bay behind for a beautiful photo op.

Former legislator, Roger Wilson is confirmed to be the signatory for FTBAP, Terry Fortner, Haley Busch, George Skalkeas and Sally Hess will also be in attendance.

Alex Reed will sign the agreement for DEP (this can be changed if there is attendance by other DEP leadership). Keith Laakkonen, Heather Stafford, and Dr. Randy Runnels will attend for ORCP.

FTBAP will be reaching out to Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, Pinellas County Commissioners and Pinellas Legislative Delegation + Congressmen.

FTBAP is in touch with Pinellas County Parks so they know this event is taking place and will facilitate having the restroom open. The outdoor location is ideal as we can wear masks and keep a six-foot distance between attendees.
