The Department of Environmental Protection (Department ) finalized Florida’s Beneficiary Mitigation Plan and may now submit requests for funding to the Trustee. The Department published a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for an initial Electric School Bus project making $5 million available on a first-come, first-served basis for the full cost reimbursement of electric school buses. The Department also published three Requests for Information (RFI) to better define opportunities to fund additional projects for 1) school and transit buses, 2) electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and 3) grants through the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) such as marine vessel engine replacements, drayage truck replacements, etc. For details, please see our website.
