Join Dr. Wills Flowers, Professor Emeritus from Florida A&M University, to discuss the use of aquatic invertebrates to quantify water quality. The State of Florida was an early pioneer in biomonitoring methods with the Florida Biotic Index and the protocols developed here have been adapted in many other states. Dr. Flowers will talk about recent changes in the Florida Biotic Index and European alternatives used in other parts of the world.
