Draft of a Model Sea Turtle Lighting Ordinance for consideration by local governments to protect sea turtles from light pollution. The draft was initiated by the University of Florida Law Clinic with the help of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission staff. In response to the public comments received during and after a June 17, 2020, rule development workshop, DEP and FWC staff have corrected minor errors and clarified several of the draft lighting guidelines.
