Florida Coastal Ocean Observing System Strategic Implementation Plan, 2008

The long-term goal of a Coastal Ocean Observing System (COOS) is to integrate reliable automated interdisciplinary observations, data management, and models to provide a real-time system in support of operational forecasts. This plan looks at these three components in the light of: existing elements (including federal and state assets); elements for an ideal Florida COOS; and specific planned elements for 2008-2010.
