Division of Water Restoration Assistance (General)
Division and State Revolving Fund (SRF) staff attended the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region IV All States Meeting and Financial Training July 30-August 2, 2019 in Atlanta. The all states meeting was an opportunity to meet with EPA Region IV state representatives to discuss SRF program set-up in each state, updates, trends, challenges and successes. Tim Banks presented about SRF and Nonpoint Source (NPS) project collaboration for future "super projects," which are infrastructure improvement projects made “super” by combining SRF and NPS funding for infrastructure improvements, nonpoint source treatment, public education, and tourism components. The financial training included discussions about the funding process; loan terms and structuring; managing cash flows; financial capability and default risk; audit; invoice review and practice; evaluating financial performance; and forecast models.
