Havana Wastewater Treatment Plant Ribbon Cutting

DWRA's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) staff and DEP regulatory staff attended the ribbon cutting for Havana's new wastewater treatment plant expansion. This new plant replaces a 50-year old facility with one that can meet much more stringent standards and prevent system failures that could result in environmental impacts. The CWSRF loan program provided a $6.3 million low-interest loan for the project, which includes $4.4 million in principal forgiveness that will not have to be repaid.
