Division of Water Restoration Assistance (General)
The Division's Deepwater Horizon (DWH) Program staff attended the Salinas Park Addition Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Port St. Joe. DWH provided $3.2 million in funding for the land acquisition, park improvements and 10 years of operation and maintenance costs on seven acres of land with 1,000 feet fronting the St. Joseph Bay Aquatic Preserve. The project is the result of an agreement with BP with the Natural Resource Damage Assessment Trustees to conduct early restoration projects to address injuries resulting from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
