Division of Water Restoration Assistance (General)
Volusia County and the St. Johns River Water Management District held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of an advanced wastewater treatment plant upgrade in Volusia County. The upgrade includes the expansion of the Southwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility capacity from 1.7 million gallons per day (MGD) to 2.2 MGD and will provide an improved level of treatment of wastewater. DEP’s Division of Water Restoration Assistance provided more than $5.4 million in funding for the project that will help protect Volusia Blue and Gemini springs. #MySprings
