The Bureau of Budget and Planning oversees and coordinates all agency budget and planning processes to maintain and promote the department’s core mission. In doing so, the bureau serves as the department liaison to the Executive Office of the Governor and the Legislature. The bureau is primarily responsible for the coordination and submission of the department’s annual Legislative Budget Request and Long Range Program Plan.
The Bureau of Budget and Planning promotes fiscal responsibility by providing support and guidance to all programs while developing, managing and monitoring the department’s operational budget.
