The Biology Program is comprised of three main workgroups.

  1. Bench Biology.
  2. Molecular.
  3. Taxonomy.

Biology Program Analytical Services:

  • algal assay and limiting nutrients.
  • biological oxygen demand (BOD).
  • chlorophyll a.
  • microbial analyses.
  • microbial source tracking.
  • sediment percent organic matter.
  • taxonomic identification – algae and benthic macroinvertebrates.
  • whole effluent and sediment toxicity bioassay.
