This popular annual series in its 34th year will be in-person and video-recorded. LIVING SHORELINES: A WAY TO IMPROVE COASTAL RESILIENCE AND PROTECT COASTAL COMMUNITIES Living shorelines use natural features to prevent erosion and reduce impacts from storm surge. Kevin Kalasz, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Coastal Program Coordinator for South Florida/Everglades will introduce this method of protecting shorelines, provide insight into their benefits, and give examples of their use.
