The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has developed classroom materials to help teachers educate students on the science and importance of clean air in Florida and how students can help protect it.
DEP is committed to protecting Florida’s air through monitoring, permitting and ensuring that emission sources are compliant with the federal Clean Air Act. Clean Air Month highlights the important role of clean air for our health, our environment and our economy. Florida is home to some of the cleanest air in the nation, and May is the perfect time to commit to doing more through education followed by action.
