The Hurricane Restoration Reimbursement Grant Program (HRRGP) is ending June 30, 2026, pursuant to Section 152 of the 2026-2027 General Appropriations Act. All applications should be complete by June 15, 2026, in order to allow adequate time for processing. On July 1, 2026, all remaining programs funds will be reverted and no longer eligible for distribution. Eligible and complete applications that are submitted to the DEP’s HRRGP Portal must allow for adequate processing time to evaluate and distribute funds prior to the program ending.

 

The Florida Hurricane Restoration Reimbursement Grant Program addresses coastal beach erosion incurred as a result of preparation for or damage sustained from Hurricane Ian or Hurricane Nicole after Sept. 23, 2022. It provides reimbursement per eligible project to eligible applicants who own an eligible residential property as referenced in Rule 62ER24-2, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
