The Beach Management Funding Assistance Program accepts funding requests on an annual basis from local governments and municipalities for beach and inlet management projects. Visit our about page to learn about whether your project is eligible for program funding.
The call for applications for the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Local Government Funding Request was June 1, 2023 and the application submission deadline was July 31, 2023.
Salt marshes are coastal wetlands rich in marine life. They are sometimes called tidal marshes, because they occur in the zone between low and high tides. Tidal marshes are floral based natural communities generally characterized as expanses of grasses, rushes and sedges along coastlines of low wave energy and river mouths.
