DEP's Contaminated Soils Forum was originally established in 1998 to provide an open forum for external and internal interested parties. In response to numerous requests, the forum has been re-established and renamed Contaminated Media Forum (CMF) to provide that open forum and to come to consensus on how to apply the lessons learned from Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA) implementation over the last several years.
To better protect public health, DEP is expanding its public notification process to advise property owners if pollution has been found on their property or in their neighborhood. You may have received a letter from DEP about pollutants discovered in the groundwater or soil at your property or properties in your area. To answer your questions, DEP and the Department of Health (DOH) have established two toll-free information lines.
