The DEP Laboratory specializes in providing scientific information to assess the nature and extent of human disturbances on the ecosystems of Florida. We provide a full range of environmental services, including field sampling, a diverse array of chemical and biological laboratory analyses, and technical review and interpretation of the data.
The DEP Laboratory provides technical support to DEP programs and other external agencies, including those operating on the federal, state, regional and local level. Information generated by the DEP Laboratory is fundamental to the department in carrying out its mission to protect, conserve and restore the air, water and natural resources of the state.
