Rookery Bay Nerr Receives Coast Guard Award

The local Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 95 Marco Island would like to recognize Rookery Bay Research Reserve for "Outstanding Cooperation and Assistance in Furthering the Purposes and Principles of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary." This would be a small ceremony here at the Rookery Bay Research Reserve Environmental Learning Center to bestow the award to Rookery Bay's Director Keith Laakkonen. The Coast Guard has already reached out to the local weekly paper "The Coastal Breeze" cover it.
