The Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: Aug. 7, 2025, 5-7 p.m. EDT

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public meeting to provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions, offer input and obtain information about the domestic wastewater permit renewal application submitted by Indianhead Biomass, LLC. for the continued operation of its biosolids management facility in St. Johns County. The draft permit would authorize the continued production of up to 45,000 dry tons/year of Class AA biosolids compost for sale and use as a soil amendment. The facility is located at 2020 County Road 214, St. Augustine, FL 32084 (latitude 29° 52' 30" N, longitude 81° 23' 06" W) in St. Johns County. The department has assigned permit file number FLAB03976-FW1S-003-NR to this project. The public comment period will conclude on Aug. 14, 2025. All comments received will be reviewed and considered before the department takes final action on the permit application.
