The Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: Monday, August 23, 2021, 8:30 a.m.

PLACE: The department is providing this public meeting by webinar.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Blue-Green Algae Task Force is charged with identifying solutions to reduce the adverse impacts of blue-green algae. During this meeting, the task force will hear updates regarding the purpose, progress and discussions of the Stormwater Technical Advisory Committee, which was convened at the direction of the Clean Waterways Act to inform the legislation’s required updates to the state’s stormwater rules.

Stakeholders and members of the public are invited to participate and provide comments during the task force meeting online. The online meeting also can be accessed on Protecting Florida Together. The meeting will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. on August 23, 2021.
