Acquisition Types

Once projects are selected for funding, the FCT works with the grant recipient to acquire sites as outlined in Rule 62-819, F.A.C. The following acquisition processes are summarized on this page:
  • Joint Acquisition with the Florida Communities Trust as the Lead Agent
  • Joint Acquisition with the Grant Recipient As Lead Agent
  • Partially Pre-Acquired with the Grant Recipient As Lead Agent

Preparing an Application

FCT Appraisal Requirements

  1. Appraisals of a project site are to be secured by either Florida Communities Trust or the grant recipient and must reflect the value of the project site only.
  2. Appraisal reports must be completed by appraisers on the approved list of the Department of Environmental Protection, Division of State Lands, Bureau of Appraisal.
