Cudjoe Regional Wastewater System

The Cudjoe Regional Wastewater Service Area (CRWSA) will serve Monroe County residents and businesses on Lower Sugarloaf Key, Upper Sugarloaf Key, Cudjoe Key, Summerland Key, Ramrod Key, Little Torch Key and Big Pine Key. The collection system and facility are owned by Monroe County with the design, construction and operation managed by the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority. The collection system is a combination of gravity and low pressure with sewage conveyed to the Cudjoe Regional Advanced Water Reclamation Facility. The facility is located on Cudjoe Key at the former landfill site on Blimp Road. The facility is permitted to treat 0.94 million gallons of wastewater daily with disposal of treated effluent to underground injection wells. For more details on the CRWSA and facility, please visit the Cudjoe Regional Wastewater Collection and Treatment site.
