The Southeast District’s 2020 Open House scheduled for June 18 has been cancelled. The May 1 submission deadline for the 2020 Environmental Stewardship Achievement Awards has been lifted. Please continue to submit your nominations using the directions below as we plan to reschedule the Open House in the near future.

DEP’s Southeast District office is excited to announce a call for nominations for its Environmental Stewardship Achievement Awards Program, which recognizes those who are working alongside DEP to Protect Florida Together by safeguarding the state’s natural resources and enhancing its ecosystems.
The program recognizes businesses, professional and community organizations, and local governments within DEP's Southeast District for exceptional achievements in preventing or reducing impacts on the environment. To be considered for recognition, participants must demonstrate proactive, innovative and measurable achievements that exceed regulatory requirements and provide a direct benefit to our environment in one or more of the following categories:
Reducing environmental impacts
Remediating environmental impacts
Additional criteria that will be considered:
An organizational culture of environmental stewardship
Continuous improvement and growth of environmental programs
Environmental education and outreach components
Innovation and exceptional achievement in environmental stewardship
Rules and Instructions:
The Southeast District Environmental Stewardship Achievement Awards Program is open to Florida businesses, industries, professional and non-profit organizations, and local governments located within Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.
Completed nomination form must be submitted along with any optional supporting documents.
Supportive material is limited to 10 additional pages.

To nominate a deserving organization, or to be considered for recognition, please complete the nomination form and include any supporting documents demonstrating environmental stewardship efforts, including the criteria outlined above. Submissions can be made by mail or email.
Winners will be recognized at the Southeast District's annual Open House at South Florida Water Management District: B-1 Auditorium at 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406.
