The Miami-Dade Academy of Fire Science is located at:
3180 NW 119th StreetThis facility uses aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) on a weekly basis which is stored on-site. The facility has 70 employees and trains in excess of 300 personnel each year. The AFFF is applied on concrete and run-off is collected by a drain system. Drinking water to the facility is provided by the local municipality.
The Manatee Technical College Fire Academy is located at:
5530 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.This facility currently does not use nor store aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) on-site. Less than 100 recruits each year participate in Florida Minimum Standards training. Continuing education courses are provided for fire driver, inspector, fire officer and 1 & 2 fire service instructors training. The facility is served by a municipal water supply system. There are no wells on location.

7590 West 24th AvenueAqueous film forming foam (AFFF) has been used at this facility and is currently being stored on-site. Presently and for the past few years, the product Fire Aide has been applied. Prior to that product, Universal Gold was used at the facility. The foams were and are currently spent on impervious surfaces with some run-off collecting into a municipal storm drain. Drinking water is provided by the municipality.
