The Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: November 28, 2018, 9:30 a.m.
PLACE: Gainesville Regional Utilities Eastside Operations Campus, Multipurpose Room A, Building 7, 4747 North Main Street, Gainesville, FL 32609
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The next meeting of the Orange Creek Basin Working Group will be held on November 28, 2018 at Gainesville Regional Utilities Eastside Operations Campus in Gainesville. This meeting is open to the public. The first part of the meeting will be an update of local project status. The second part of the meeting will present the draft Orange Creek Basin Management Action Plan Amendment that addresses allocations of loading reductions for Newnans Lake, Orange Lake, and Lochloosa Lake. The second phase Orange Creek Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) was adopted in July 2014. The BMAP addresses bacterial problems in streams and nutrient water quality problems in Newnans Lake, Orange Lake, Lochloosa Lake and Lake Wauberg in the Orange Creek Basin.
