The Training & Engagement Program (T&E) provides science-based knowledge, training, resources and technical assistance to individuals responsible for making decisions that affect the coastal resources so vital to our watershed, our economy and our way of life. We promote and facilitate community-based stewardship and conservation by engaging leaders, managers, professionals, business owners and residents in gaining knowledge of the reserve. We draw expertise from both federal and state levels, channeling it to the local community.

Topics include:

  • Living shorelines.
  • Bay-friendly living.
  • Coastal resilience.
  • Ecosystem services.
  • Oyster restoration

For a current list of all workshops offered, visit the ANERR Eventbrite page.

T&E works collaboratively with local planning staff, land managers, seafood industry, real estate associations, ecotour/fishing guides, small businesses, and residents to positively increase environmental stewardship within the ANERR watershed.

T&E increases information exchange among local, state and federal officials, community groups, individuals and institutions who affect coastal and estuarine ecosystems.
