South District Brownfield Symposium
The program empowers local communities and stakeholders by facilitating redevelopment and job creation by the assessment, cleanup and reuse of properties previously impacted by pollutants.
The Florida Clean Marina Program is designed to bring awareness to marine facilities and boaters regarding environmentally friendly practices intended to protect and preserve Florida's natural environment. The SD offers educational programs, speakers and voluntary onsite inspections.
Bimonthly events providing an opportunity for participants to learn, update and share information on a wide range of topics both regulatory and of environmental interest to our stakeholders. These events are also a great networking opportunity, creating connections across communities, businesses and government agencies to identify actions that can stimulate economic growth and regional cooperation while protecting natural resources.
The South District Drinking Water Program offers educational programs for permitting and compliance assistance. The SD Drinking Water Program works closely with the Environmental Protection Agency, other state agencies, and the Florida Rural Water Association to ensure Florida's drinking water systems are safe and being properly monitored.
