Experience is 'on-site' or 'hands-on' operational experience in the treatment plant as defined in Chapter 62-602.250, F.A.C. All experience must be verified by signature of a Florida licensed operator or supervisor with an operator license in the appropriate field of treatment. Water Distribution operators experience verifications can be signed by a Florida licensed Distribution Operator or Florida licensed Drinking Water Operator C level and above.
You must complete the Certification Application and submit it to the department for approval. Please make sure that you write neatly and legibly. Any information that cannot be determined due to poor writing or spaces left blank will result in the application being deemed deficient.

The information listed below will assist you in applying for your license. Please make sure that you included all pertinent information along with your application. Once your application has been received it will be reviewed for completeness. If your application has been deemed “incomplete” you will receive a letter within 30 days advising you of any deficiencies and any corrective action that needs to be taken. If your application is “approved” you will receive a license and wall certificate in about four weeks.
