Narrator: Each year, more than 60,000 jobs and over 6 billion dollars of our local economy depend on the health of our coral reefs in southeast Florida.
The vast and beautiful reefs off our shores, provide habitat for 30 percent of our fisheries, and protect our shorelines from erosion, storms and hurricanes.
However, pollution, coastal construction, maritime industry impacts, over-fishing and recreational misuse are harming our reefs.
