Cast polymer operations are operations where gel coat resin is sprayed or otherwise applied to a mold, after which a casting resin is applied without spraying. This operation is used for marble-look countertops.
Cast polymer operations are eligible to operate in Florida under the terms of an air general permit (AGP) pursuant to the requirements of Rule 62-210.310(4)(e), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
Bulk gasoline plants are storage and distribution facilities for petroleum-based products having a Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) of 4 pounds per square inch absolute or greater such as gasoline, diesel fuel, mineral spirits, kerosene and lubricants. Bulk gasoline plants usually receive product from bulk terminals by trailer transport, store it in tanks, and subsequently dispense it by trucks to farms, businesses and service stations.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has established an air general permit (AGP) under Rule 62-210.310(5)(j), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), for asbestos manufacturing and fabricating facilities that are subject to the federal requirements of Title 40 Part 61 of the Code of Federal Regulations (40 CFR 61), Subparts A and M.
An animal crematory is a facility containing one or more combustion units, known as cremators, used solely for the cremation of dead animals within appropriate containers. Cremators are usually made of high-grade steel plate and lined inside with heavy refractory tile or brick. Most cremators have a variety of automatic controls and use gas for heating the cremator.
The Division of Air Resource Management’s Compliance Assurance Section provides oversight to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s six district and eight approved local program offices responsible for conducting compliance and enforcement activities pursuant to the Clean Air Act.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection oversees the permitting of major and minor sources of air pollution in Florida. Applications for air general permits, construction permits and operating permits are processed by the Division of Air Resource Management, DEP's six district offices and several local air programs.
Eligible facilities may register for an Air General Permit, a registration and permit-by-rule program designed for small businesses that may be classified as a minor, area or point source of air pollution.
