Orange Creek Basin Working Group Meeting

The Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The next meeting of the Orange Creek Basin Working Group will be held on July 10 at Gainesville Regional Utilities Eastside Operations Campus in Gainesville. This meeting is open to the public. The meeting will present an update of water quality improvement activities in the basin and review of the proposed allocations for nutrient reductions for Orange Lake, Newnans Lake, and Lochloosa Lake. The second phase Orange Creek Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) was adopted in July 2014. The BMAP addresses bacterial problems in streams and nutrient water quality problems in Newnans Lake, Orange Lake, Lochloosa Lake and Lake Wauberg in the Orange Creek Basin.
