Office of Environmental Services

The Office of Environmental Services is responsible for the administration of the Florida Forever Program as well as the oversight of the land management of all conservation lands owned by the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund (BOT).  In that capacity, Environmental Services conducts a variety of functions for, and on behalf of, the Division of State Lands and other environmental entities.  These include overseeing Board of Trustees’ land managers, the review of land management and land use plans, coordination of land management review teams and environmental site assessments. In addition, office staff perform conservation easement monitoring, acts as staff to the Acquisition and Restoration Council, provides coordination and data compilation for the Land Management Uniform Accounting Council, evaluates lands for potential conservation (Florida Forever) and surplus and evaluation of Florida’s conservation program measures.
