The Office of Environmental Services (OES) is responsible for the administration of the Florida Forever Program and the oversight of the land management of all conservation lands owned by the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund (BOT). In that capacity, OES conducts a variety of functions for, and on behalf of, the Division of State Lands and other environmental entities. These include overseeing Board of Trustees’ land managers, the review of land management plans, coordination of land management review teams and environmental site assessments. In addition, OES oversees conservation easement monitoring, provides staff support to the Acquisition and Restoration Council (ARC), coordinates and compiles the Land Management Uniform Accounting Council, and administers the Florida Forever program in which staff evaluate and recommend to ARC lands proposed for conservation.
