Stan Mayfield Working Waterfronts Capital Outlay Grant Program

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) administers the Stan Mayfield Working Waterfronts Capital Outlay (SMWWCO) Grant Program to support the commercial fishing industry, including infrastructure for receiving or unloading seafood, for the purpose of supporting the seafood economy. The SMWWCO Grant Program was created to provide funding to assist commercial saltwater products or commercial saltwater wholesale dealers, retailer license holders and seafood houses in maintaining their operations. Applicants must demonstrate a benefit to the local economy.

    **In order to apply for this grant you will need to an ensure that an account has been created for your entity. 

    Creating an Account:

    In order to request a new account, please send an email to SMWorkingWaterfrontsCO@floridadep.gov providing the information below. You will be contacted by someone with our team once this has been completed so that you can begin the next step in this process (Grant User Registration). 

    • Account Name (This will be your Business Name as it is registered in SunBiz and My Florida Marketplace)
    • Federal Employee ID # (FEID)
    • Applicant Name
    • Applicant Email address
    • Applicant Phone Number
    • Applicant Billing Address
    • Website Link (if available)
     
    Once your 'Account' and 'Grant User Registration' has been completed, you can login and submit a SMWWCO Grant Application with supporting documentation via the DEP Grantee Portal (Please make sure to select 'SMWWCO' at the top ribbon for the available options to you). 
    The DEP Grantee Portal may only be accessed through Google Chrome.
