Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) Sweatt-Whidden Transmission Line Project (TA22-19): For the construction, operation and maintenance of a new 230 kilovolt (kV) line. The proposed line is approximately 80 miles in length, beginning at the Sweatt Substation in Okeechobee County and ending at the Whidden substation located in DeSoto County. The transmission line corridor crosses through DeSoto, Glades, Highlands and Okeechobee counties. This application is being processed under the Florida Electrical Transmission Line Siting Act.
Pasco County Solid Waste Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility (PA87-23SA1): For the construction and operation of a new municipal waste combustor unit (Unit 4) and associated facilities to supplement the three existing certified units (Units 1-3). Unit 4 will burn approximately 475 tons per day (nominal) of municipal waste and generate approximately 18 megawatts (nominal) of electricity. This application is being processed under the Florida Power Plant Siting Act.
