This air monitor is operated by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Resource Management.
This map displays Air Permitted Facilities for 10 important source categories. The legend on the right side of the map defines the type of dot that defines each category of facility, e.g., waste-to-energy. Move the cursor over a dot on the map and click to bring up a dialogue box indicating the sources category, e.g., cement plant, facility name, owner and facility ID along with other information where applicable.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a tool for reporting daily air quality. It tells you how clean or polluted your air is and what associated health effects might be a concern for you. The AQI focuses on health effects you may experience within a few hours or days after breathing polluted air. It takes all the monitored pollutants and relates them to a single-scale value to indicate air quality. See the AQI guide below for details.
