Regulated storage tank systems, such as those containing motor fuel, are required to be registered with DEP. The department routinely discovers such systems, especially aboveground systems, that are in-service and not registered. The department is undertaking an outreach initiative to provide basic information to motor fuel suppliers to ensure all regulated systems are properly registered. Hurricane season begins June 1st. This is a suggested checklist prepared by DEP and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for retail petroleum facilities to aid in the preparation of your facility before, during, and after tropical storms and hurricanes.
