DEP is hosting a rule development workshop to which all persons are invited. This rule development workshop will allow DEP to discuss and receive public comments on proposed amendments to portions of Chapter 62-330, F.A.C., as well as the creation of two new rules. These revisions and new rules will create a new general permit for the installation, construction and maintenance of inshore reefs and a new general permit for the installation, construction and maintenance of living shorelines. The changes will simplify and clarify rule language, increase efficiency, and encourage appropriate material to be used in inshore reef projects in marine and estuarine environments. They will also provide a regulatory framework for nature-based solutions addressing shoreline erosion.
In-person workshop attendees will be hosted at the physical address listed above; the workshop will also be conducted virtually via GoToWebinar. Copies of meeting materials will be made available on the webpage below.
