The Office of Business Planning’s regulatory reform, legislative affairs and policy support staff support the Division of Air Resource Management by overseeing:
- Revisions to the division’s rules in the Florida Administrative Code to improve regulatory consistency, remove obsolete provisions, adopt federal regulations by reference and develop new rules that implement Clean Air Act requirements
- Development of the division’s Annual Regulatory Plan as required by Florida Statutes
- Requests for petitions for variance
- Revisions to Florida’s State Implementation Plan under the Clean Air Act
- Development of Infrastructure State Implementation Plans (iSIPs)
- Development of the division’s responses to new federal regulations, including revised National Ambient Air Quality Standards and other regulatory initiatives developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- Development of the division’s Annual Business Plan
- Tracking and analysis of legislation relevant to the division
- Internal and external communications initiatives
