On October 27, 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a proposed approval of Florida's 111(d) State Plan for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfills. This plan was submitted to EPA to fulfill the requirements of the Clean Air Act and is responsive to EPA's promulgation of Emissions Guidelines and Compliance Times for MSW Landfills. EPA published proposed approval of Florida's State Plan on October 27, 2021. EPA published Final approval in the Federal Register on August 16, 2022.
