New Pass Inlet Management Plan (Sarasota County)

The New Pass Inlet Management Plan (IMP) in Sarasota County, establishes strategies to best manage sand bypassing activities for placement of beach quality sand on adjacent eroding beaches of inlet or pass. The intent of the IMP strategies is to replicate the natural drift of sand that is interrupted or altered by an inlet so that each level of government can take all reasonable efforts to maximize inlet sand bypassing that will be designed to balance the sediment budget of an inlet and to be consistent with Section 161.142 Florida Statutes.  Approved on 11-20-2025.
