In the event of a potentially life-threatening dam safety emergency, immediately call 911 and the State Watch Office at 800-320-0519.
To report an incident or emergency at a dam, contact your water management district (WMD) or Tracy Woods, P.G., State Dam Safety Officer (SDSO), at 850-274-3636.
Mining operations are subject to Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) requirements unless they are specifically grandfathered. Projects associated with mining operations for phosphate or fuller’s earth that are located on land that was included in a conceptual reclamation plan or modification submitted prior to July 1, 1996, are grandfathered from the ERP rules pursuant to Section 373.414(15), Florida Statutes.
This page provides links to view notices of receipt of applications for selected* Environmental Resource Permits under review by DEP. The majority of such applications and notices are reviewed in the six DEP regulatory district offices; applications and notices for mitigation banks, most mining-related projects, and many projects associated with deepwater port facilities are reviewed at DEP’s main office in Tallahassee.
