Marine Debris Cleanup Event

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Southern Waste Information eXchange, Inc. (SWIX) are proud to sponsor a marine debris cleanup event at the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge – Lighthouse Region.

Volunteers are needed to help remove marine debris from this area, which is vital to both our environment and local economy. Marine debris poses a serious threat to wildlife, habitats, and our local communities—your help makes a real difference.

What to Bring:
Bug spray
Old tennis shoes or closed-toe shoes
Hat and sunscreen
Work gloves

Trash bags will be provided.
Please dress appropriately for outdoor work and warm weather.
