On July 2, 2020, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (department) submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency a proposed revision to Florida's State Implementation Plan (SIP) to remove motor vehicle rules from the SIP.
The department has determined that the rules are not needed for attainment and maintenance of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), nor for protection of visibility.
