Shore-Based Beach Cleanups in 2023

Interested in helping to keep beaches clean? Volunteer for one of these beach cleanups in your area! These events are great to do with friends and family.

Miami-Dade County

  • Crandon Park – Citizen Science Cleanup second Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at Crandon Visitors & Nature Center. Hosted by Debris Free Oceans, EcoAdventures, and Miami-Dade County Parks Department.

  • Crandon Park - Third Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Biscayne Nature Center.

  • Arch Creek Park - Second Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Arch Creek Park Nature Center.

  • Biscayne National Park – Weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. through the end of April. Email Bisc_Beach_Cleanup@NPS.gov to arrange a trip with the Biscayne Beach Cleanup Program to clear beaches of debris in preparation for sea turtle nesting season. Accepting groups of four to eight people (ages 16 and up).

  • Debris Free Oceans and Volunteer Cleanup.org - Post various cleanup dates throughout the year.

  • Clean This Beach Up - Volunteer to clean the shore line at different locations throughout Miami and underwater cleanups at Biscayne Bay and Biscayne National Park.


Broward County

  • Parrot BeachThird Sunday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Parrot Lounge at 911 Sunrise Lane.

  • Fort Lauderdale Beach - Second Saturday of every month from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Hub, 300 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., and hosted by the Fort Lauderdale Beach Hub.

  • Surfrider Broward and Volunteer Cleanup.org - Post various cleanup dates throughout the year.


Palm Beach County

  • Boynton Inlet - Third Saturday of every month from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. hosted by Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

  • Juno Beach - Second or third Saturday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the back of Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Check this website for exact dates.

  • MacArthur Beach State Park - Second Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

  • Ocean Cay Park - First Saturday of most months from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Anita Lankler Pavilion hosted by Friends of Jupiter Beach.

  • 4ocean and Volunteer Cleanup.org - Post various cleanup dates throughout the year.
