Mooring Buoy Maps

Nearly 300 mooring buoys are in the Kristin Jacobs Coral Reef Ecosystem Conservation Area (Coral ECA), with even more in Monroe County and Biscayne National Park. These buoys provide a safe and convenient way to secure your boat when enjoying the reef – they are often located right next to popular dive sites! To learn more about how to use them and where to find them, visit the links below:Mooring buoy with line attached to a vessel

Below is a 30-second video public service announcement that informs the public, specifically boaters, of the need to anchor over sandy areas, or tie up to mooring buoys, during large-scale marine events to avoid dropping anchors on fragile coral reefs.
