Florida Natural Areas Inventory
The Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI) is Florida's Natural Heritage Program and state member of the NatureServe network. FNAI provides scientific support to the Florida Forever program.
Florida Ecological Greenways Network (FEGN) and Florida Wildlife Corridor
The FEGN is a statewide database that identifies and prioritizes a functionally connected statewide ecological network of public and private conservation lands. It is a key component of the evaluative criteria for Florida Forever land acquisitions and provides the science foundation for the Florida Wildlife Corridor.
In July 2021, the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act was signed into law. The Florida Wildlife Corridor is comprised of critical habitat linkages that are defined as Priority 1, Priority 2 or Priority 3 areas within the FEGN.
