Application Review and Approval Process

The Bureau of Public Land Administration manages the application process and coordinates review and approval with the Office of Environmental Services and the ARC. For more information you may visit the Bureau of Public Land Administration page or call the Division of State Lands at 850-245-2555. 

Negative Response Requests

Incompatible use requests are posted for a two-week review period, except for State or Federal holidays. At the request of three or more ARC members, items on negative response may be placed on the next ARC agenda for review. Absent this request, the items are approved by delegated authority to the Division of State Lands.

Items Under Review:

Florida Power and Light Utility Easement: East Central Rail Trail

Florida Power and Light (FPL) has submitted a request for a 0.088-acre utility easement across a portion of the East Central Rail Trail in Brevard County (Trustees' Lease No. 4775). The request includes converting existing overhead electrical transmission lines to underground. The existing transmission lines predate Board of Trustees acquisition of the Trail. The Division of State Lands (DSL) will issue the easement to FPL unless at least three ARC members request DSL place the request on a future Council meeting agenda. Florida Department of Transportation Right-of-Way Easement: Marianna Greenway Trail

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has submitted a request for a 0.038-acre right-of-way easement on a portion of the Marianna Greenway Trail (Trustees' Lease No. 4754). The request is part of FDOT's larger Chipola River Bridge improvement project and involves upgrades to U.S. Highway 90 (Lafayette Street) in Marianna.
