The Interim Management Guidelines (Revised April 14, 2023) address the necessary, routine custodial care and maintenance of state-owned property during the time between acquisition and approval of its initial Land Management Plan (LMP). These Guidelines also address when new management activities not identified in an approved LMP are proposed. All activities must be in compliance with chapters 253 and 259 of the Florida Statutes. These Interim Management Guidelines do not replace the normal LMP process. The Office of Environmental Services provides oversight of this process for the Division of State Lands and the Acquisition and Restoration Council.
