The Restoration Trials Team is responsible for developing trials and either conducting or coordinating monitoring of outplants to help determine when and where coral restoration should occur. The Restoration Trials Team aims to answer these questions:
Determine whether non-affected species can be disease reservoirs or vectors
Monitor if outplants of susceptible species are surviving at acceptable levels
Identify if outplanting susceptible species might impact local disease prevalence
Address other priority research questions
The Restoration Trials Team is developing a Restoration Action Plan that contains recommendations for future restoration efforts.
