Technical Support

This document supports the application of the Florida Building Code Section 3109 requirements for construction seaward of the coastal construction control line. The CCCL Sec. 3109 definition for “Combined total Storm Tide Elevation (Value)" cites Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) reports for each county titled “Revised Combined Total Storm Tide Frequency Analysis,”  and 3109.3.1 refers to the same title.  The report serves as an addendum to DEP's "One-Hundred Year Storm Elevation Requirements Report," provides 100-year combined total storm tide levels, which include storm surge, dynamic wave setup and astronomical tide, and are provided for all coastal counties with an established coastal construction control line. The "Revised Combined Total Storm Tide Frequency Analysis" replaces the "Addendum to 100-Year Storm Report" technical publication previously posted on the DEP's Beaches and Coastal Systems website.
